Sherlock Leak Detection, a local swimming pool leak detection company, is proud to have served its 12,000th client in the spring of 2017. In business since 2001, we have been helping swimming pool owners by locating and fixing their swimming pool and spa leaks.
Office manager Vivian Timko has been the friendly voice who has taken most of those calls from customers who have needed help over the years. “We never know what to expect when the phone rings. It could be someone with a backyard spa that has a leak or a city-owned waterpark that is losing thousands of gallons a day. Every day is different and that’s what makes this business exciting.”
Owners Terry and Diane Gilford have watched the business grow over the years to the point that they recently moved to bigger office accommodations. “Our field technicians are the best in the business,” says Terry.
“They are very customer-oriented and strive to keep our clients happy because we want them to recommend us to friends and family and call us again if they ever have another pool leak problem.”
Diane has human resource responsibilities and has a ‘sixth sense’ when she interviews potential employees. “We like to have qualified people that hold the same values that we do when dealing with clients. My job is easy because personnel turnover is practically non-existent.”
Kevin Smith is one of the field technicians and is also the company trainer. “Kevin has been with us for 10 years and already had 10 years of experience when we got him. He’s been great!”
David Tomec and Frankie Settle have also been with us for several years and have lots of experience in the pool leak detection industry and customer service. Our newest addition in the field is trainee Shawn Leiser, who comes to us from the pool construction industry.
